Tenrikyo Hawaii Convention 2011

May 27, 2011 – May 29, 2011

In 2006 the first Tenrikyo English Forum took place in Tenri Japan. This was a unique and much anticipated opportunity for English speakers of the Tenrikyo faith to get together and voice our pride, concerns, questions, and uncertainty of the path of our personal faith. The outcome of the first Tenrikyo Forum was a positive momentum fueled by beliefs that ideas would materialize into actions. Since the English Forum many followers have settled back into their daily lives and in that process have lost some of the momentum of that gathering in Japan.

Not to worry! We know that a new awakening has been growing in the hearts and spirits of many of you because of the last Tenrikyo Forum. With that in mind, a follow up event has been planned. The "Tenrikyo Hawaii Convention 2011" has been set forth to accomplish 3 main themes:1.Strengthen, 2. Motivate, 3.Devotion. This is not an effort solely for Hawaii but for everyone in the world. We need everyone’s support and efforts to make this an event that truly matters. Our goal is to create excitement and pride in being Tenrikyo; To educate individuals so that they are excited and strong in their belief of the Tenrikyo teachings; To strengthen relationships between followers; To work together now as "One World, One Family" living joyously with those around us knowing our will can influence the direction of humanity.

Motivate: Getting you excited about the faith. Building your pride in being Tenrikyo. Awakening your passion.

Strengthen: Strengthening your ties with fellow Tenrikyoists. Increasing your knowledge of the Tenrikyo teachings. Building relationships in your communities.

Devotion: Building Integrity. Living the model as set forth by Oyasama. Being actively involved in Tenrikyo activities.
